Born and raised
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, DJ Razor Ramon was first introduced
to the culture of Hip Hop in the late 1970's- early 1980's.
Throughout the '80's Razor Ramon was inspired
by such DJ's as Grandmaster Flash, Grand Mixer D.ST, Jam Master
Jay (R.I.P.), DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Cash Money. DJ Razor Ramon
has toured around the US and the world sharing the stage with
poets Ursula Rucker, Twin Poets and Mo Beasley, and world renown
musicians Zakir Hussein and Spoken Hand Percussionist Orchestra.
DJ Razor has also shared the stage with recording artists Poor
Righteous Teachers, Hezekiah, Mel ink, Supernatural, Medusa,
Kenny Muhammad- The Human Orchestra, Grand Agent, DJ Evil Dee,
DJ Cash Money and the world famous break dance group the Rock
Steady Crew. DJ Razor Ramon is the 2001 Philadelphia City Paper
Pitch Control DJ Battle Champion, 2002 NBA All-Star Weekend
DJ Battle Champion, and the seven-time Power 99 FM (Clear Channel)
DJ Battle Champion. In 2003 DJ Razor Ramon became the recipient
of the Philly DJ Appreciation Award for his years of dedicated
service. Razor
Ramon has also recorded with NFL Films. In 2008 DJ Razor
Ramon solidified a partnership with Serious Knock Entertainment
to distribute his sound to the world. DJ Razor Ramon continues
to rock the 1's and 2's on stages and in clubs around the
US and the world. |
